Meet the ECL Captains
Elvish Yadav
Elvish Yadav, captain of Team Haryana, is excited about his role. Known for his dynamic online presence and reality TV success, Elvish shared:
“Hi guys, thank you so much for giving me such a big opportunity in life. I have my own team, plus my own state team. I thought of a lot of names, so I chose a somewhat decent one. As they mentioned, I’m leading Team Haryana, so I’m the captain as well as the owner. The actual name of the team is Haryanvi Hunters. Before this, we had thought of naming it Haryanvi Masters, but that didn’t quite suit the vibe—it was a bit too real. We wanted to go a little more into fiction, so we went with Haryanvi Hunters. Thank you so much, everyone. I would just make a small request to ask good questions. I can tell by the expressions on many faces that you all have come up with some interesting questions, so try to avoid anything inappropriate. Thank you so much.”
Abhishek Malhan
Content creator Abhishek Malhan is also thrilled about the ECL. He shared:
“Hello, hello everyone. First of all, I wasn’t told that I had to speak here, but when the first thought of ECL came out and I talked to Himanshu Bhai, he said, ‘Let’s create a cricket league for YouTube celebrities and all.’ I said, ‘Why not? Cricket is something we’ve all played.’ Everyone feels like if they just get a platform… I mean, every kid wakes up saying, ‘I want to be a cricketer.’ Slowly, their priorities change because they realize there’s a lot of competition. But I’m glad this is finally happening. This was a dream of Himanshu Bhai and Anil Bhai, and they were determined to make it happen. Both of them play cricket really well, and it’s going to be fun. The captains are here—my friends Elvish and Munawar Bhai. Meeting everyone for the first time, it’s eventful. It’s going to be so much fun playing together, seeing everyone’s teams, and how it all turns out. I hope this event is very successful and enjoyable. Thank you so much.”
Anurag Dwivedi
Fantasy cricket analyst Anurag Dwivedi is ready for the real thing:
“Hello, guys! I am now moving from the world of fantasy cricket to the real cricket world. Yes, I’ve also joined the Entertain Cricket League and have been chosen as a captain. While managing the responsibilities of the fantasy cricket world, I’m also excited to take on responsibilities in real cricket. I am very excited.”
Harsh Beniwal
Harsh Beniwal, though unable to attend the launch, is eager for the ECL:
“Hey guys, I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there because I was busy shooting for my web series, but I’m so excited to be part of the ECL as captain of Team Punjab. It’s going to be very interesting and fun. I can’t wait to compete against my friends. I’ve watched their games and now playing cricket will be an amazing experience for me. See you all soon on the field. Love you all.”
Sonu Sharma
Sonu Sharma expressed his enthusiasm for the league’s potential impact:
“Thank you, Anil, and the entire team. Honestly, I’m not sure what direction to take right now. We don’t even know what’s going to happen next, as Anil is revealing things gradually. It’s exciting, and I believe this could be a milestone league in the coming months with how Anil and his partner are designing it.
Social media is already a big force, and it will explode in the next month or two. We don’t know yet where its impact will reach, but we’ll try to make this a major league where all influencers come together under one roof. Everyone’s passion for cricket is a great opportunity to relive that excitement. Let’s see how far this story goes.
Thank you so much for being here. I am deeply grateful to all of you. God bless!”
Munawar Faruqui
Comedian Munawar Faruqui, a cricket fan himself, expressed his enthusiasm:
“Hello, hello, good afternoon everyone. How are you all? First of all, thank you so much. The ECL (Entertainment Cricket League) is definitely going to be something big. How should I even describe it? You can already imagine what it’s going to be like. In India, if we talk about Bollywood, it’s everywhere, just like cricket. We all know how much we love cricket in India. Here, too, if I ask for a show of hands, everyone will say they’ve played cricket. We’ve all played so much cricket in the streets, and those who haven’t played have definitely watched a lot of it. So, we’re all very connected to cricket. Since childhood, I’ve spent a lot of time on cricket—some might say I wasted time because I couldn’t become a cricketer. But I’ve invested a lot of time in cricket and played a lot of it. Now, I’m thrilled that I’ll get to play cricket at a level where people can watch. The ECL, which is an entertainment league, seems like a great combination of entertainment and cricket. I’m really excited to see the captains and everything. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Thank you.”

The Entertainment Cricket League is more than just a cricket tournament; it’s a celebration of India’s vibrant content creator community.
